The yarn: Lamb's Pride Worsted, Orange You Glad
It took me three fun days to knit - my first attempt at circular needles. EarthHeart Designs saved me there, with their handy tip to make the circle smaller with a double-pointed needle. First I had to uncurl grandma's long curly plastic needles. Running them through hot water water was not enough for these...maybe they were too old and stiff. A quick swish in just boiled water and then a run of cold tap water did the trick. Yay!
As usual, the pattern threw me a little and I had to bluff for part of it. The resulting hat is a little large even on my big head, so I hope it fits RayRay! It's *awfully* comfortable to wear though and if she doesn't want it, I do! I heart orange. :)
What have you been up to?

What a cute hat!!! Oh, and that orange - I usually don't like orange, but this shade is purdy sweet.
And I'm going to have to keep my eyes peeled for the colored masking tape.
Cute! I really like hats and orange, too . . . they're a great combination!
Me? I'm not doing much other than working on *the project*, but we did have company yesterday. That was probably our last full-day break, though, as there are deadlines! ;) Shhh . . .

Hello Sara!
My name is Elizabeth and you and your sister's articles in The King's Blooming Rose Magazine are such a blessing! And I enjoy seeing your portraits and photography in the magazine, too!
The hat is very pretty...the orange is perfect for autumn and the shade of orange is delightful! The photography is lovely, too!
What have I been up to? We started homeschooling again on Monday, so it has been pretty busy!
Have a pleasant day, delighting in the Lord!
Elizabeth
